Get your alternator tested. 99% chance it's got severe AC ripple, or is dumping 20V into the system when you rev it high.
either will kill a mad.
If you have the "it eats headlights" issues, that's also the likely culprit.
Been there, done that, $50 in headlight bulbs(2 sets...), $90 in maf sensors...
And have the new one tested, befoere you even leave the store. I had one with 14V of AC ripple right out of the box...
