Personally I would get another $35 cat off of Ebay, and while you are waiting for it in the mail, live with the car. And figure out why it blew the cat, since they don't just go without a reason.

Live with the cat? That wouldnt have worked considering all the honeycomb thats inside of the cat ultimately ended up being pushed out of the cat and through the rest of the exhaust, clogging it. So if I had continued to drive it I would've blew my new $1200 head off.

So what we did was just take the exhaust off and bang the piece out. Problem solved. Car runs really good now.

I've got one of those cat elimintators if you want it. I was told that it works fine on the Tib. I ended up not needing it though.

just punch out the cat until you get a test pipe.

<sounds like the cat already took care of that itself....don't breathe in that fine dust that floats around everywhere from inside the cat (leftover platinum from the honeycomb)...very bad, you'll DIE!>

Just keep in mind, you're screwed when it comes to emissions (and cops here in Washington don't even hesitate to get on their hands and knees to check out what's under the car). A hi-flow would eliminate those problems.

1. You need a second cat if you have the stock ECU. You'll get a CEL from the second sensor.
2. If you're clogging up cats that bad, then you've got other serious problems from the motor.
3. If you want to get rid of the second cat, then you need the cat eliminator that wires into your o2 sensor.
