Wtb: Stock Hood

stock hood... doesnt matter what color.. could be blue, red, yellow, pink, polka dots.. whatever..
condition doesnt matter.. could have a big dent, scratches.. swear words scratched on it.. doesnt matter
i guess prefer someone in the Toronto area or anywhere within reasonable driving distance because if it has to be shipped it wouldnt be worth it anymore..
i'm looking for a veryyy used CHEAP hood..
thanks

You can have mine, just make an offer. I live about 2 1/2 hours or so from mississauga, and only a little over an hour from the border. The color is the stock dark green with a little chip in the front near the emblem. I live in Hilton, NY if you wanted to mapquest the distance.

hmmm.. over the border is gonna be a problem..
heres my situation...
as you all know, shipping to canada is a pain and very expensive.. also the duties and taxes they charge on top of that are killer.
I'm waiting on my CF hood from chris, and hes shipping it to niagara NY just over the border. My plan was to get a crappy stock hood and drive with it over the border and pick up the CF hood install it and ditch the old hood all together..this way i can get around all the taxes and duty.
But if you're in the US already, i'm gonna have the same problem.
get me?

they'll charge ya. although if you claim you were in the US for more then 24 hours, you automatically can take back $200 worth back across the border,.. so paying gst on the rest wouldnt be to much... (no ups brokerage fees either.)

They'll charge you if you're driving with the CF hood INSIDE your car as you cross the border??
yeea cause they know you went to pick something up and you bought it from over there so they gotta charge you the tax and crap like that.. which is why all these unecessary requests must be made wink1.gif

i bet you could get chris to make you a fake receipt saying it was $100 or something, or do it yourself and make up some company's name like "Custom Fibers" or some BS? That's probably what I'd do, it's pretty shady, but I don't think those guys are going to really look too closely..
Plus how much extra do you think they'll charge you, even if it's $50 (which I bet it would be lower), I doubt you'd find a hood for less than that. Also, then you have to install your hood parking-lot style, without a garage and good tools..and it's getting cold out.
