I was working on putting LEDs in type2ac's heater cluster, and as I was taking the buttons out, some tiny little wire fastener came out of the recirculate button, so the clicker part of the switch doesn't work. I have no possible idea how it came out, and it's impossible to put back in there, so it's FUBAR.
I really need this thing quickly, he's been waiting on me for way too long and I have to get it back together really soon. If someone can get that button from a junkyard or if you happen to have one lying around, I really need it. If it comes with the entire cluster, that's fine too, I'll pay whatever.

 

are the rd1 and rd2 ones different?

RD1 and RD2 are different. I saw that button (there are 2 different types for RD2) I believe, so I'll just get it.

DTN, the switch is the part that's screwed up. It won't click in and out, is just stays out. It's the tiny button on there that lost a piece. If you're referring to something else, I can send it to you. Don't bother paying anything wink1.gif Let me know.

And yes, RD1 and 2 are different. I think RD1 has 2 lights for either interior or outside circulation, the RD2 says either on or off. Although the circuit boards are the same...

 

The whole thing is already disassembled. I'll look for that, but I don't think I saw what you were describing. I'll let you know about costs of shipping and everything tomorrow.

 

You know, if it's not too expensive, you think you could send the entire heater cluster control? Let me know the price difference. The plastic piece I'm referring to is just behind the buttons inside of the cluster.
Either way, I still definitely need that recirc. button.

Pretty much the entire HVAC is there, minus the knobs... I'll be going there this afternoon, I'll pick up the cluster if its not too much.

so you're saying the part that is broken is the metal box with the plastic portion sticking out that is mounted to the circuit board?
