^^^ I like the offer. I'll go for it if you don't mind getting it tested first. I know that both Autozone and Kragen do free testing on batteries and alternators. If it's tested and it's in good shape, you got a deal. Thanks bud.

...

So let's get this straight.

You want him to go to the junkyard.

Buy a used alternator with his own money.

Go get it tested.

Then you might buy it?

LMAO

What he CAN do, is buy one, we can get it rebuilt here and sent to you. 110 or 120 Amps, for $135 plus the cost of the alternator.

Otherwise, I'd highly recommend him not buying it if you are only "Might' gonna get it.

Go buy one on ebay.

Whoa!! Hold on. I didn't know he was going to the junkyard. I can that myself. It's just that the junkyard here only has older cars early '90's and back. I'm sorry. I don't want anybody to go out of their way. I'm mostly looking for one that somebody has on hand because they're up-grading. You know? I'm just looking for a temperary back up for when mine goes. As far as getting one rebuilt and improved isn't a nessesary up-grade as of right now. Besides, $135 + $45 = $180. That a poop-load of money to spend right now. Two minimum wage jobs can't cut that kind of expense in one shot. Heck, even the tune-up I want to do may take 3 -5 months just to put a "DONE" stamp on. Thanks but no thanks.

I assumed he was getting it from a car he was parting out. lol... I tried car-parts.com and I just get a stupid "my search results" thing with nothing but poop. But I may go with the e-bay one. Thanks. Sorry if I sounded like a jerk in the last post.

If you know where San Fransisco and Sacramento are, I'm smack dab in the middle.

I'm going to call them (ebay) up on payday next week. Hopefully it's still available. Thanks Redz.
