I've got one as well. I pulled it off an RD2 with 45,000 miles on it. Just sitting in my garage right now. I think the last one I sold cost $15 to ship

$15.00 to ship? That seems high since they only weigh like 3 lbs. and are small to boot.

Anyways what are you looking to get out of it?

Just wanted to place this info here... Advanced Auto Parts has a MAF sensor for a 1999 Kia Sportage for $80. It comes with a lifetime warranty. This is good if you blow up your MAF with Nitrous frequently like myself. The reason you want the 1999 Kia Sportage instead of Hyundai Tiburon, is pricing and availability. They usually have Sportage MAFs in stock, the Tiburon MAF costs $190. The only difference betwen the Tiburon and Sportage MAF is that the Sportage says Kia, and the Tiburon has the 'crooked H'.

All of the RD MAFs are the same.

Good info DTN!! That will definately be the route I will take.
Can anyone else confirm this? Where did you get this info from?
I just want to make sure it will not cause it to run even richer than the factory set-up...

This will be the third MAF I have installed on the car so far... After so long the car just runs idles really rough and starts drinking fuel really bad. Swap the MAFs and it is back to like new...

I just called Advance Auto Parts and was just quoted these prices:

2000 Hyundai Tiburon MAF - $177.77 + $30.00 core (limited lifetime warranty)

1999 Kia Sportage MAF - $79.88 + $40.00 core (limited lifetime warranty)

I got this info by opening each and every box which was about the right shape and size in Advanced. I was desperate and could not wait 3 days to get a MAF.

Also, they'll give you the core charge because the part numbers on both MAFs are the same, but for different applications.

Btw... have you tried cleaning your MAF with MAF cleaner, or Electronics Cleaner? I have to do that every time I spray because fuel vapor gets on the MAF.
