We may have a winner...

It doesn't say if it's a 5speed, but sounds promising!

Looks good. Probably autotragic, but I've done the auto/manual swap thing before. *sigh* I really didn't want to have to go down that road again... Especially not with a damn 97 revision-A captive wheels rear drum brakes POS.....
But the price is right.

I'm sorta holding out that Speedracer will come through on his tibby in my price range, but we'll have to see what happens with this RED one too.

random, i was just thinking...

the time and money required to upgrade a 97 auto revision A to say, 99 manual status would be worth 1k id think. parts would be around 600.

That is very true, but I have yet to find a 99 under $5000.
I've currently got a line on a 97 Revision A 1.8L 5-Speed (RED). The seller is asking for $2,500, so It looks like a "go".
I'll have to convert the "captive" front rotors to non-captive. I'll also have to convert the rear drums to disc....but there's no rush on that. I'm sure there's still lots of folks out there who would LOVE to hear HOW to do that conversion, so I'll do up a DIY when I get around to it.
