i've got one that i think came from a 2000 tiburon. It's slightly too deep for my car.

on the one i tried to replace, i received the entire ashtray assembly, but it won't fit into my facia. Check your hole, is the clip on the bottom that holds the ashtray in place rivited from the top or the bottom of the ashtray. If it's on the top, i have the replacement part for you, if it's on the bottom, we're both in the same boat.

 

Hey I am not sure but I believe the clip is on the bottom. I am about 90% sure of that. When I look at it tomorrow i will tell you. But the one that you have is from that Peter guy right? That one looked a little messed up so if thats the same one I'll pass. But if you have a different one thats in good shape i'll take it.

 

I made it look pretty in preparation for installation into my vehicle, but it wouldn't fit, so i have a nice looking ashtray. it's painted black, shiney, and done well.

on my stocker, the only difference i noticed that can be worded precicely is that the metal clip piece is on top of his and it's on the bottom of mine. they're both rivited the same way and everything looks the same just bigger. that's really the only noticable difference is that the metal portion of the clip that holds the ashtray is on the bottom where you can't see on mine, but peter's is on top.

hey i just checked it and the clip is on the bottom. So looks like we both are stuck.

 

I'm betting that somehow I got this ashtray from a RD1. I'll label it and stash it away or something.

 

I'm pretty sure I've got one.
