In my ongoing quest to get my cylinder head rework done on the cheap, I'm at the point of asking if anyone has a set of valves I can buy off 'em, or maybe a whole cylinder head if the price is right (you could keep the cams). Caveat: these must be from an engine that was removed from service when it was still running decent. I need them straight enough to re-use. NO busted-timing-belt valves! owned.gif

A fresh set of valves is like $100 from the dealer, so I'm thinking in the $30 range for a used set.

Squeaky wheel gets the oil, I've got both (8 valves and a 1/2 assembled head, no cams, only 8 sets of valves, springs, retainers i.e. half assembled).

I do. But it would be a few days before I could pull them. Is Beta 2 the same?

I'd hafta check hyundaitechinfo.com to see if the valves are the same.

Couple days would be the fastest any part of this project got completed to date wink1.gif

haha, I'll run on 3 and a half cylinders then! I'll check in the next day or 2, I don't have the head for it tonight. No pun intended!

btw, beta2 valves won't fit, the stems are much longuer
