I am looking for the speedometer sensor (or sending unit?) that installs into the 5-speed transmission for a 2000 Tiburon. I would think that 1997-2001 are all them same. My original one is damaged and the Beta-II unit that came with the transmission won't plug and play.

Give me your best all inclusive price (shipping to Marquette, MI 49855).

I will pay cash or trade for the new Beta-II unit or ?...

i have one for a 2001 tiburon with little mileage. it works, i replaced mine for a new one when it turned out the problem was a disconnected wire.

$37.05 online.

the new one was black ;b to be honest, this one seemed a lot more quality plastic.

say cheapest shipping sounds like $4. $23 shipped. I don't have my paypal routed to my bank, from you cash in envelope is fine. I can send it out on your word.

Great! Now that I look at your picture I am not sure which part is damaged anymore. I may need the entire unit. I'll throw it up on the hoist and look today.

my problem was a loose rusted wire. it was an easy fix, just needed to be soldered. i'm positive it's because i don't have my splash shields on 02.gif

sure, just make sure the connections are good and it's not the sensor that's the problem. i'll check back here every now and then.

it spins with something connected to the transmission, which then sends that information to the ECU, to which the speedometer is able to function with the actual speed of the car.

OK.

The car left today, but I am doing the seat belts and the some other work for the owner when they get here. When I am doing that work (in about two weeks) If this is what I need I'll definately take it.

OK.

I think this sensor will work on my 2005 drive gear. Let me know if you still have it.
