id go with a fidanza. there pretty cheap these days, and the fact the friction surface is replaceable is a plus.

i got the chromoly, half the price of fidanza.. not as light.. doesnt have replaceable friction face, but you can buy a brand new one and still be less than the fidanza..

alex has the chromoly, ask him about it.

Yah i have the chromoly, when i put it in i noticed a nice difference. You notice the engine accelerates faster, but it doesnt really affect start up like a feather weight flywheel will.

I believe i weighed it at a little under 11lbs something like 10.5-10.7, not a big diff tho.

The chromoly doesnt have replacable surfaces, but you can resurface it a few times. And after that you can just replace it for dirt cheap.

PLUS if you drop it and break a tooth, or accidentaly damage the flywheel (beyond a surface exchange) your not out 400 bucks.

^^

that entirelly is a myth. if that was an issue, car makers wouldnt be using the exact same design in factory car currently. even down to the replaceable friction surface

Whats a myth?

Im not saying the design of the fidanza is flawed, or that replaceable surfaces are bad. What i said was If you some how damage your flywheel (chromoly or fidanza) beyond repair, youd be out a hell of alot more money having to buy 2 fidanzas over 2 chromolys.

read more carfully..

Pat, I'll let you know how my setup comes out. I got a South Bend stage 2 clutch and a fidenza flywheel going in the tib. Should have it tomorrow. Got the entire kit for 600 shipped.
