: shrug : I dunno. My parts car was a base model 99 Elantra and mine is a 2000 Elantra GLS. It would astonish me if the conversion to manual couldn't be done, even if you had to use parts from another car. Check out any Classic Trucks magazine and you'll find generic window regulator kits for people to fit into their projects.
I'd vote for trying to get another power unit, especially one that's <1yr. old. Consider that the one that just failed on your car is a decade old. Not too bad, especially if you use your windows a lot. A couple decades ago, a 10 year-old car used to be considered completely thrashed; now you just need the odd part here & there.
