Default SR vertical doors installed w/ pics

The install went fine ( took about 3-4 hours from beginning to end), but I'll have to adjust the hinges on the doors b/c as you can see the VDC kit set the doors in from their original position which makes it look like the fenders are pushed out. I had to remove the front bumper, fenders, and side skirts for the install; it was a very easy install, if you have a friend helping out. Once I adjust the doors, everything will open properly without any rubbing. Overall I think it looks great.

This is how far the doors will open before they go up... and you can actually lift the door with just a finger once the kit is installed!

Looks like a giant mosquito ready to fly. LOL I'm just messing with ya dude, looks nice. Tell us how they hold up over the next few months. Don't want the door to snap off in the wind like on some cars I've seen... smile.gif

I'll put some up once I get the doors lined up right... I'll get a better pic once the fenders are off again. The hinges are actually very heavy and they seem very durable... only time will tell though.

Well, in six months or so start up a new thread on how they are holding up, or if you have any problems before the six months start up a post letting us all know.

Yeah... I've actually done everything on my car myself, with a little help here and there of course. I don't have the money to pay someone to install things, and I can usually figure things out once I get into a project... I guess it's a curse!

Looks hot man, I'm glad to see everything worked out for you. Let us know how those things hold up?

How are they when they're fully extended?? Flimsy??? Sturdy??? Just askin'.

It was fairly windy the other day and they didn't move much, but they did move a little. As long as I don't leave them extended in a wind storm, they seem like they will last without breaking any where. The doors are also heavy as shiz, so that could explain any movement. I'll test the doors out more tomorrow; it's supposed to be near 70 degrees tomorrow... in New York... in JANUARY... CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
