As a Biochemistry major i definatly know the chemical make up of N20, ill go back and fix it.

 

a probe is a re-skinned mazda mx6. it was even built by mazda, at a mazda plant. drivetrain/suspension/underbody are all 100% mazda designed and made.

compare it to a eagle talon and mitsubishi eclipse. just not as many people know the connection with mazda.


and sadly yes, ive had 3 roommates so far, and all three have owned boosted ford probe's. (all have been pot heads also in reference to the no drugs. lol)

mx-6 is one of the cars i first went to get a loan about. but it was too old so i ended up with the tib. they are pimped inside and they are just good looking cars.

 

the original ford probes were engineered by a women as a car for women. with stuff like buttons designed to be easy to push with long fingernails, an elevated seat to make it easier to see, and originally came with a paint color matching umbrella.

the probe was designed as a high performance FWD replacement of the mustang. any basic search on any search engine will inform you of that. (i dont think any car for women would a 15.1 totally stock.... wink1.gif)

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on your POV) the people who love mustangs would not even consider a FWD replacement for their cars.. so the Mustang Survived and the Probe was born.

Of course nobody ever said that Mustang Enthusiasts were the smartest bunch. For a while the Shelby had an independant rear suspension, but too many people complained that it would not hook up properly on the 1/4 mile so it was dropped... never mind that it was designed for the roadcourse, not the straight line

 

Gotta be honest, not a big fan of Probes. Just the name .... probe .... yeah. Around town theres quite a few of them, think their all big and bad because they`ve got the stock v6 gt model.
