its an EVO motor.. good stuff.. more specifically looks like its out of an evo7 maybe.
let us know what your doing as far as transmissions.. you going AWD? using EVO trans or hyundai trans?
details..
not really the dark side, just the motor the beta wished it could be. lmao.gif

Caj/DTN: ehe there is not much that I can share with you guys right now, but the engine mounts do not line-up slightly. As such the brackets have to be fabricated or something like that, i didn't really get what my mech was telling me.
but from what I observed, our RD1 engine mounts are more forward than the evo's. hence the engine is too forward and the radiator wouldn't fit and etc.
initially i wanted to put in the evo steering rack, but it doesn't line up either, so i'm using back the RD1's steering rack. Drive shaft will get them changed to the evo's.
lots of space in front for the intercooler, but the bumper has to be cut slightly. also, I might consider moving the battery to the back of the car as the evo engine is bigger than I had expected. pretty cramp but I would say it fits nicely cool.gif
