The B&M shifter is longer on the bottom. It's what I used. Here's my install:

yea dude i know how to install these, ive pulled my IS shifter like 20 bazillion times trying to get rid of the slop
this post i guess now is just saying that the IS shifter is really no different than the stocker, other than the fact that it A) has more slop B) has a block design shifter
theres not bottom height difference in them

the import shark, megan are copies of the B&M shifter, so yes al l3 of them havea raised fulcrum point,
fulcrum point is raised by about 1/2" and lever is shortened about 1/2" also so it ends up almost in the same spot...
i modified an accent shifter for my winter beater swapped accent i'l ltry to get pics of it next to a stock shifter, you'll understand VERY fast what everyone is telling you

Didn't post it so you could see how to install one. Figured you had that covered. Wanted you to see the difference between the stock and the B&M.

The IS short Shifter IS the Megan Racing shifter.
The block may be similar to the B"&M, but of course, so are many of the other ones out there.
The upper section is way different, the B&M is tall like a truck shifter, worst short shifter I've had, and I've had all of them, well, other than the Rside Basic.

damn right you're right
the megan,IS, KFX has the shifter shafter about 1 1/8" shorter then the B&M but the rest is a perfect copy of it
here's a pic that shows it all
from left to right
stock tiburon, modified accent,B&M,and the IS,megan,KFX...

My ARK shorty is epic short. I took off the plastic extendor on the shift knob and the extension on the shifter itself. Truly the shortest shifter ive seen in person. My friends 240sx is like driveing the ups truck compared to mine.

The last one on the right, the lower ball isn't as low as the B&M. It makes up for that with a shorter lever. They probably feel about the same, but the B&M will look closer to stock and the IS will look like a short shifter.

And there's more than that. Some are machined better than others. The big hole that the big bolt goes through is too big on some. The side post on the lever isn't in the same spot on all of them. I used to have a bunch of pics of the differences, and measurements too.
