^^ You know there's people who say that about our cars. Especially the Classic guys. Alot of the time, they take a car that's been run down a bit and while restoring, they add some flare. We all understand why we modify our cars, but why can't we understand why others do it? TV's, LEDs, Body kits all look good on our cars. Chrome, paint jobs, big rims look good on theirs.

In some people's eyes, alot of the stuff we do to imports is just "bling" on an econo-box.

For example, take KustomizedTiburon's car. It wins car shows in heavily modified import class. We all respect his car. It is a very nice tiburon. But most of the stuff he has is not needed. My car is in the same boat, but less done up.

There are cars that I look at and say "why the heck"... But you gotta remember someone else is saying that about your car too. nana.gif

 

^true but at least we have some kind of performance gain from what we do and even if it's not the biggest it makes sense. it's like remodelling a house. you're hooking up a house, with a jacoozie, interior lighting, and plants outside because you want your house to stand out and yard to look nice and clean. with those DUB cars (they drive like Britney) have like heavy $4,000 wheels and consume about 10HWY, when there are certain people in a certain place of the world dying of aids, disease, poor sanitation, homeless, and hunger.

i can't stand another SUV with 22' chromes and tints. phhhew.

 

wow for a group of people who are into modding cars you would never expect so much hater ass talk out of your mouths. you would call it "not a car show" because there arent a bunch of imports running around with cans on the back, trying blow nitrous out their car for some attention?

this is plainly just a diffrent style of modding, just because its not YOUR style doesnt make it not a show. thats just some ignorant thinking coming from small minded people.

sometimes its real irritating having to read the negative comments that come out of some of your guys mouths sometimes. makes me glad i'm on a computer so when i read these small minded comments i can just turn it off and leave. mad.gif

 

that depends on your definition of show. my kind of show is seeing Engineering at is finest, like a Space shuttle launch from Cape canaveral and fly on a mission to discover new facts about life and origin. Sorry man but this has nothing to do with fine Engineering.

I don't agree with any of y`all.
It's "not a car show" because there were no awards and no judging. He said that in the first post. Not because of the type of cars there.
His buddy left because they weren't giving out awards or judging. I agree. If I was expecting a car show, I would have got pissed off to. I wouldn't have left, but i'd still be disappointed.

So, what was it then? What do you mean by "finding a car for a video" ?

 

I dont know why everyone is hating on donks/boxes/bubbles so much, every one ive ever met that drove one has been nice as hell towards me and actually liked my car. one of my good friends has a monte on 22's hyrdos completely reupholstered interior, a full fiberglass dash, and orange to green paint that cost $437/qt. and TV's in the highbeams, he loves my car and has been 300% more respectful to me then alot of the tuner boys who are the ones that are almost ALWAYS raggin on our cars like oh its just a hyundai or its a tiburon its junk. So I dont know about you all but I'm going to respect who respects me. Get on all the forums where theyre talking shit about hyundais or tiburons, and see if any of them are cars like this.

No its not my style (but I sure wouldn't mind building one) but I'm not going to hate just because they dont have 15" rims and a turbo.

Kantizuni was exactally right. I have appreciation for those cars. It was not a car show because they canceled the show to find a car for some video.

Like I've said before, donks are just the style around here. If you removed the motorcycles, the Chevy truck, my car, the Elise, and added a judging, then it would have been a car show.... This was some other stuff.

A car show is not the same as trying to find a car for some video.

BTW... the hissing from my nitrous is just as loud as my horn. I had the choice between the two, so I used the more flashy one.

 

I wasn't referring to you DTN, a guy like you I know you have a mutual respect for anything with alot of work into it.

Btw the Lotus fits right in with those cars, check out the new 50 cent video (not that I like 50 cent at all I just noticed the car in the video)

The rims alone on one of those cars cost way more than most cars on here. I'm really tired of hearing negative ass comments about cars that most people can't even afford to make; hell 26inch rims are like 4000-6000 dollars so please stop hating. I don't know how many times people rag on Tibs and you guys hate it, i too love the Tib but i think it's time to get something new and maybe find a new community to hang around in. If you think that boxes and so forth are ghetto than our cars are ricers and we all need to get turbocharged evo's or subaru's!
