looks pretty good, but any type of wire loom in an engine bay makes it look like cheap crap IMO..

WTF are you putting black wire loom over grounding cables?

Wire loom, other than stock, looks uber gay.

And after looking closer, WTF did you put black wire loom over the BLACK throttle cable?

And is that black wire loom over the hose going to your intake elbow for your WAI?

What else do I see?

Blue Zip ties holding on APC blue vaccum hose?

...

?????

A $20 battery with a blue cover, a $10 intake...

Why do you keep cheaping out on shit?

Wire loom over power steering hoses, blue spark plug wire separators (uhm, why? to keep the 2 inches of wire before the come into the spark plug cover untangled? LOL), a big blue nitrous oxide sticker right next to your ZEX unit, like anyone that sees that would think you were, oh, I dunno, oxygen injected or something. Miscolored blue tape on the blue loom.

I'll stop, I'm sorry, it's just way too much for me. At least the valve cover looks better now.

Dammmmmmm... now that is blue.

I notice that you shock mounts are getting ready to go... change them before the mount collapses and you spin off into a wall.. i have seen it happen here.. when ever the pop up like that. like yours are doing right now its time to change them...

IMO...

Everything that is in blue wire loom, you should put into black. If the wire is already black and doesn't really need to be loomed, don't loom it... (For example the ground wire going to the block, currently loomed black... if its already a black thick wire, don't loom it.

Then, get blue radiator hoses, and you have a nice balance. Blue hoses, Black wires, blue engine cover, battery...

Because it was ugly without it

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And after looking closer, WTF did you put black wire loom over the BLACK throttle cable?</div> It makes it look thicker. I think it looks better. I had blue on it before and I think the black looks much better.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And is that black wire loom over the hose going to your intake elbow for your WAI?</div>
yes, I had blue APC hose on there, It was starting to get old looking, so rather then replacing it, I covered it. I'll probly change to some black hose soon. The blue APC stuff can't handle heat.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A $20 battery with a blue cover, a $10 intake...</div>
Try a $60 blue top marine battery which is capable of discharge to 50% power without damage, which helps me out considering I park my car with power running

It's actually 2 different $50 intakes which I merged together. So add another 0 to your estimate smile.gif

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Why do you keep cheaping out on shit?</div> I don't cheap out on anything. I don't spend $200 on an intake when I can spend $100 for a better one. Back when we bought our intakes, you bought your AEM they cost $200 and there was no way I was spending that much on mine.

Well, it's easier to clean wireloom with a brush then it is power steering hoses with a rag. The wire separator was easy to install and it keeps the wires neat rather then 2 sticking together and 2 off on their own. The big blue sticker was free from work because I deal with nitrous oxide. I thought proper labeling was standard on any application of nitrous oxide, the bottle itself even has proper labeling on it from the factory. The blue tape is not miscolored. It's a pretty good match.

You should stop, because you obviously are just trying to pick on me. I swear, once a month you get like this, and then we go back and forth until you decide you want to ban me. I'm not playing.

Everything I've added makes it either easier to clean, or was replaced as part of another project because it was worn. As you can see, i've done quite a bit of work for electrical upgrades. I've also got black wireloom for when I do projects in the future and have been replacing it slowly. I keep my engine bay clean and new looking, so as soon as this stuff wears out some, I'll have an excuse to replace it. I'm not going to just go out and replace all of that wireloom for fun. It's going to take some time, but I'm working on it.

The upper strut assemblies are less then 2 years old. They're fine.

I can't confirm that it means they're bad, but I can definitely tell you that I've never seen them popped up like that, so you might want to wait for a couple more knowledgeable folk to weigh in.

They've been fine like that for more then 2 years since they were first put on

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/D...ed/100_2579.jpg

I have had my front upper strut assemblies replaced, so it may just be how the new ones from Hyundai look.

here's another one from more then a year ago

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f100/out...newithvalve.jpg

I'm going to have to call bulllshit on this one.. Here's a picture from 2 years ago when the strut mounts were perfectly new.

Sorry, that's what they look like new.
