I've got too much blue in my engine bay. I would like some suggestions as to how to correct this issue. I've got about 50feet total including all sizes of black wire loom even 1" which is not used in our stock cars.
I plan on removing most of the loom from the wires i've installed, which is aproximately 500ft of additional wires. I'll be reworking them into a single "aftermarket harness.
I would like ideas on a color scheme. Please tell me what you think looks good. I may go with blue wire loom on everything which is non-electrical, or aftermarket, or I may remove all of the blue wireloom. I don't know. I'd like some ideas to start with before I begin this project next month.

Move the battery to the trunk, that's what I'm doing in a few weeks when I build my custom trunk. Also, a wire tuck would be a huge improvement over whatever you might do to the wires themselves.

Removing the wire loom will take away a lot of the blue. If you wanted to go farther, maybe repaint your engine cover.
I like how it looks, though.

I kinda like the engine being blue. It's something which should have attention called to it.
I've got no room to move the battery to the trunk, or I would do so in a heartbeat. I'll probly end up exending some of the wires out a bit and running all of them to a 1" wire loom towards the back of the battery instead of the front. It's just an idea, but I don't know.. I've heard I should keep the wires on the battery blue as well. I don't know about that either...
I'm just wondering if anyone here with a vision can point out the eye-sores. I look at my car every day. It's my car. It's hard to critisize your own car if everything is running great. I'm asking for advice on what I should change black. Most definately I'll be changing the main engine wiring harness back. That's all I'm sure of.

soooo other then blue huh, ummm WHAT about some White looms white will kinda match chromed things and break up the blue a little. I got blue looms in my bay too and what i notice is if you dont clean them they kinda fade over time, i wonder if white will if White even exhists. Just som imput. oo also, i think u should remove you warning sticker on ur radiatior cap it draws attention, if u wanna c wat it looks like without it click on my cardomain in my sig. but yah other than than I say they is never too much blue.

take off wire loom that covers rubber hoses!!! makes it very hard to find a leak when you have it completely covered.
if you can, reroute wires (especially the wires that are on your battery) to where they all come from one location and are concealed. yes it may take you tearing out some wires and replacing them with longer ones for rerouting purposes, but trust me it will look tons better.

i would honestly try and do some type of wire tuck, but im not sure if you would wanna do that.
if your not wanting to do a wire tuck, i would try and consolidate AS MANY of the wires as possible into one or two harness's that hug either side of the engine bay or a stock harness location.
i would also change most of the blue to black, but not all of it. or you can do the OEM look for the black parts (the tape wrapping)
i also think you might wanna try some alternatives to the cheap loom look.. it doesn't look bad, but it looks cheap, and when it bends or bulges it looks even worse IMO. maybe try some of that sheathing type stuff you used on your buddies cup holder halos.
i just think a more professional look, even if it all stayed blue, would look much nicer..
and about the color thing, i am in the opposite position of you, i need to add some type of color to make some of my engine bay pop out. i was thinking of doing my IC pipes in a gloss blue.
what do you think would look good (heres a recent pic of my engine bay)
and yes, i know its dirty as hell right now..
