Oh, yeah, I see. Ours are very thick and rugged. You can see most of the bumper in this picture. It's also rolled for more support

To tell you the truth, I prefer the plastic. Lighter AND stronger in absorbing impacts. Where the tib uses the bumper bar beneath the plastic, BMW uses collapsable metal "rams" that are attached to the body to absorb the impact. More parts to fix following an accident... for the same amount of coverage.

And yes, that is a LOT of blue.. you need some black to break it up some

I got pulled over today. 2 cops in a tricked out van pulled me over. Then the MPs showed up. Then the MP undercover unit showed up... Seriously.... How many cops does it take to look at a pair of headlights.

The MPs couldn't find any laws on the records, so they said "i'm sorry to take your time" and they were gone just as quick as they showed up.

I have 6000K HID's and they're quite bluish although not as blue as DTN's. If I were to go for another one though, I'd probably go for 4300K (low's) + 3000K (fogs).
I've never been pulled over for headlights for the 2 years I've had my HIDs installed smile.gif

I've seen a few of these lately, They seem somewhat of a fake, IM NOT SAYING YOUR IN ANY WAY ARE... But I have never seen headlight lights that blue before almost looks like a smurf color rather than a transparent light blue, are these DOT approved? because the set i saw seemed as if they are blinding and only for off road use?!?

^^ The department of transportation has nothing to do with aproving headlight bulbs. The SAE does. DOT says what manufacturers do. I have no idea what the SAE says about my headlamps. I've checked my state, local and federal laws and found nothing that could prevent me from having these. That's really all that matters.

6000K is crystal white, 4000K is white kinda yellowish stock on cars from factory for HIDs. I think mine are 10,000K or 12,000K... They're pretty darn blue. I've only had that one run-in so far and I keep local laws in my glove box to show the cops.

Those purple ones are not a Kelvin reading. They've got a different type of metal in them to add color.
