it would be easier to put a Prius's MG1 and MG2 with trans and diff in the back of a tib, charge it with the front engine and have an ev Tib with 300 awd, than to use a Santa fe drivetrain.

that's not the same, he took the body of a civic and put it on a wrx. I'm talking about taking the engine, transmission, and rear end, and swapping them into a full bodied tiburon. I want to keep the exterior and interior from the tib.

The wheelbase on the Impreza is far too long to support this. Even the oldest models still require 2+ inches more than the tib has to offer. You would have to acquire a custom drive shaft on top of a bunch of other things. That and I really don't see how the rear subframe would fit the tib. Just seems like a bad match imho.



The 1G Eclipse has the same wheelbase as an RD and uses the same motor/diffs out of an EVO (3 iirc) so that is a much more likely scenario. I believe that's what they used to build the one Regit posted.
