DTN's DIY HiLo Halos kit for RD2Tiburons. 2000-2001.

Two pattern options: Multi-Ridged "starburst", or Laser Dusted "Glowing Ring"
Colors available: Blue, White. Custom colors upon request.

$100 + $10 for shipping. Commercial or Residential will be the same price for shipping. Units ship within 1 week. Keep reading for more information.

Multi-Ridged: AKA Starburst. The disturbancs are multi ridged, which means the entire ridge lights up, not just 1/2 of just the edge of the ridge lighting up in a dremmel pattern on 1/2 of the ridge. This dual stage was achieved by running the laser across the acryllic first at a slow very low power, then a 2nd time, faster and much higher power. The laser lines from the faster higher power laser are apparent to the eye. This is the best option. It is brighter, and it is more noticable then glowing ring. 8 prototypes were made before this design was decided upon.

Laser Dusted: AKA Glowing Ring. Basically the layout is the same as Multi-Ridged, but the surface is composed of many tiny disturbances. The overall brightness is not that of the Starburst model. I put in the work on this model because durring R&D it was brought up that the ring should be illuminated fully across the entire length instead of having breaks in the illumination. Glowing ring was achieved by running a low powered laser very quickly across the width of the rod, bearly dusting the surface.

I started this project because I did not want to pay the outrageous prices which some companies are charging for angel eyes. I spent alot more time and money in the R&D process then I had origonally anticipated. I thought it was going to be alot easier. But, since the R&D is completed, this project is reproducable. I am now offering these at a fair price to you guys here.

These halos are the best on the market. The disturbances in the acryllic are extremely precise. This is because they are carved by a laser. Alot of time, effort, and money went into making the prototypes which guided this project into sucess. I believe now we are at a point where the designs and materials cannot become any more perfected, so they are ready for sale.

Here is a picture of the kit which you will receive.

The wiring harness is of high quality. UL approved 22awg Twisted pair, PCV insulated, PCV jacketed supplies power. A chrome plated mylar jacket further protects the wiring from damage and looks great. Quick diconnects are provided to facilitate ease of connection and it is only possible to connect them correctly! A bolt on ground and a tap in power wire makes all of the electronics work almost plug-n-play. The 2A mini-blade waterproof fuse provides the security you'd expect from any commercial kit.

As of right now, this kit is undisuptably the best deal on the market. Those other guys do not provide a wiring harness and charge ALOT more. I'm giving this deal to you guys on RDTiburon.com only. E-bay will feel the pain. Feel free to ask questions.

edit: ^^ yes. That's all that's shown. I can do blue, or red, or any other color. They are illegal in most states. White is the best option for legal reasons.

Just a reminder about glowing ring. They are not as noticable as the Starburst. It just kinda looks like it's illuminated. Starburst is very defined. $110 USPS priority with delivery confirmation. Send me a PM and I'll send Paypal information.

glad you decided to make the 'glowing ring' even if they are not as bright, i have always felt that it provides a cleaner look and lighting than the choppy 'starburst' look. thats why i have never liked the LED style rings and favored the CFL lighting.

they look really good. you definately did it the right way.

theres no way to justify buying flyryde angel eyes over these unless the person is basically an idiot.

hope these sell well for ya. would buy a set if i still had my tib.

Ericy: I have 6000 HIDs and I want them to match that color as much as possible.. I feel white is much closer than blue..

DTN: Great, I will send payment as soon as I decide between the two options (glowing ring/starburst).

Could you get a better pic of the difference in brightness?

Maybe the rings not so close together so the light from each one doesn't overlap?

I don't want a blinding bright light but want to be able to see them.

As soon as I decide I'll pm you for payment.
