Its a common thing around here. I see alot of people will flash their lights at you if a speed trap is coming up or if a cop is shooting radar somewhere. Do any of you ever do it?

i always flash my lights for anything whether its a cop or an obstruction in the road. someone probably saved my life one time by flashing me. i was going up a steep hill and i was about to go over the top when an oncoming suv quick flashed me as he came over. i quickly breaked and right on the other side of the hill was a stopped trash truck in my lane. that could have ended really bad

When I first started driving EVERYBODY did it. Now, nobody at all does it. Half the people here don't even know what it means anymore. I would love to get back to that though, it was pretty convenient.

Maybe it's a regional thing. Most people here don't do it. My wife had no clue about it.
I do it for obstructions, cops, warning to slow down for other reasons (blocked lane). I used to flash my fog lights (when I had super bright fogs) but now I use high beams.
