Your opinion on MLM companies?

I have recently been pushed to join a MLM (Multilayer Marketing) company but am hesitant to get on board. Just out of curiosity, would any of y'all join a MLM company or have in the past?

At SEMA, I was asking them about their products. They really only cared about signing me up as a dealer. Huge red flag.
