Xm In The Car...
#1
Alright I haven't really explored this option because I never had to.
Anyone with XM radio here...
I got an Alpine 9805 head unit that says it is XM ready. What would I need to buy in order to connect that to XM radio? Also, is there a certain way I have to program it? I'm not even sure. The book that came with the head unit doesn't explain anything. I'm so used to plugging in my Roady2. My Roady2 just got smashed to Hell and I can't read the screen on it so I'm exploring other options. Either I try to get another Roady2, figure out how to get an XM radio head unit to work, or just wait until the MyFi goes down in price even more because of the new MyFiInno thing coming out. I'm not interested in buying a SkyFi2, RoadyXT, or anything like that.
So... help?

I'm selling my SkiFi 2 if you want it. I have a thread up for it.
For XM ready recievers, older ones, you have to get 2 boxes. One is the adapter for your vehicle, the other is the XM box. It'll come out to like $150. You just plug them in, call XM up and get your Radio ID changed to the one your stereo gives you, and they will swap your service over.

Hey, if you want it, look up my FS thread and make me an offer. I just want it out of here soon.
Trying to clean up the house. I used it for like a month, it's got the home and car kit.
