more than likely these two had a disagreement that made the other person think of a way to get back at her. childish, yes, did it work, yup.

I didn't even click the link to read the story, but I know this.

I would have been telling someone to kiss my white American ass.

This makes me very sad. I became a citizen of the U.S. after being here for 18 years and I am very proud of being an american this country has given me and my family so much. I am a lawful citizen. Pay my taxes every year and If I had to I will fight for this country. When you become a citizen you are ask if you would bear arms for the U.S. I dont know if this lady is an resident or a citizen but im sure things in Africa are not much better than here. And being that she lives and works in the U.S. she should be proud or at least outmost respectfull. No one should be told no to show patriotism in their own country. Is increadalbe I bet back home she had no idea what freedom of speech was she comes here and she uses it in such a bad way.

I keep hearing and about this cases I think the supreme court shold pass a law against that. Being patriotic is not offensive and if it bothers you than you shoulnt be here.

If the other woman finds the American flag offensive she can go right back to Africa where she came from. Someone who came to the United States by choice, probably for a better way of life should at least be quiet and respectful on an American day of remembrance of active duty and past veterans of the American service who fight to keep our freedom. As nvs the lady probably was getting back at the other one, but still c'mon ppl its memorial day..... my .02 cents

that's retarded. this country is one of the best countries in the world but i also understand that people are really hampered by this economy and the U.S. has a lot of enemies. in most cases foreigners know more information than U.S. citizens do.

i just talked to a few people serving in the ARMY at a party. they all said they have mixed emotions but have to carry out orders. and another friend from high school who just came back from Iraq and he's seen some very scarring images that will haunt him for the rest of his life. even said the ARMY itself is corrupt.

i'm one who believes that the stars and stripes do not stand for the America that it once stood for. I'd say majority people at least in the big cities are immigrants, second generation immigrants, or just work drones who invest money outside of the U.S. America is no longer "cowboy" country, it is more like a "party chex mix" and that is why we have problems of this sort.

also don't forget our situation with the Gaza Strip and the anger we cause by being involved (yes we are financially involved, so read about it). there are so many stories that are stopped from spreading here that foreigners only have access to because they know where to look. the truth is covered up, and the patriotic Americans still have this idea that American ideology is the same as it was 60+ years ago. things have definitely changed and nowadays people who support America don't have an idea of what they're actually supporting. you can read more from books.

Here in the State of Nevada, we passed a law stating that everybody has the right to display a "Standard Size" (36" x 48") US flag on their property. This law was passed to keep HOA's from prohibiting them.

EDIT: Didn't realize this was about a woman displaying a 3x5 foot flag in her cubicle. That may be patriotic, but it's also ridiculous. There was obviously some reason why she hung such a large flag. I have to believe she knew the person in question would be offended by it. I'd probably be offened... not by the flag, but by her utter lack of respect for proper display etiquette. I wonder if she had it thumb tacked to the damn wall? One of the many things I learned in JROTC was how to respect the flag by displaying it properly.

This story is much worse:

Well, I went and clicked the link and read the story, and didn't get as upset as I figured I would.

But, then, I seen a list of the top 10 news stories on the right of the page, and then found this: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,522637,00.html

That story is the one that peeved me. SAD, very SAD.

Not sad really, just PATHETIC.
