I propose that the automatic reply to all oddball "can I put X engine in my X car" threads should be to link to that video, say anything is possible with enough time and money, and then lock the thread.

Someone on here had an older e30 with a sr20det (I think) in it. But those cars came with i4's in them. The i6 in that e36 only had 240 hp stock so thats not going to be hard to beat with a turbo i4.
I think it's pretty cool. Bmw luxury and i4 turbo??? no one?? really? It would have been cooler with a turbo beta in it, that way it still had torque.
Anyways even with the n/a honda motor in it I'm sure it's making more than it was stock, however like someone said on that site you have to wring it to get the power. Did you see where the rpm guage was? dang, forget honda reliability at that point.

All I can think is perhaps he got a good deal on the car because the original engine was toast a knew someone had that motor handy... with ecu and wiring.
And as stated above money.

i find it hilarious guys that you are worried about it. I dont know how many times i can think of while watching pinks that a mustang was on the strip with a 350 in it or a camaro with a 351 in it. its no big deal, christ.
in one of my tuner mags there was a bmw z3 roadster that a guy in japan that owns a tuning shop stuck a rotary in it. more than likely that is the engine that the owners of the cars are most comfy with, hence the install.
I would someday like to take a RD1, seal the back of the hatch up and make it into a pickup. after that i want to put in a evo motor and drivetrain. will i be crucified for doing that here?
