It's a statisitical fact that older people cause more accidents due to their driving. There have been attempts to get laws requiring elderly people to take driver's test, but elderly right's groups have stated that this is discrimination. I've worked with people who've had Dimentia and Alzeihmer's (who ever you spell it) and they seriously do not know what they're doing at times and get worse as they grow older. It's like people feel sorry for the elderly and let them get by with traffic accidents that would land a normal person in jail.
In fact, almost a year ago, a guy I knew got killed by an elderly woman as she cut in front him while riding his motorcycle. The poor guy left behind a wife and two children.
