I have to pass a physical as a pilot, i think everyone should have to pass (a not so rigorous) physical test to be able to get a driver's license.

I'll totally agree with that haha.gif that's just.. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, lol. Thats more than pathetic. That's entirely out of hand haha. I'll definately agree with the fact that older people need retested.. shit, I wouldnt want myself out driving around on the road if I'm gonna drive around with a damn body in the windshield.

that sad thing is i bet 90% of old people are only taken off the road after something like this happens. maybe not this drastic but an accident.

btw, wasn't there a story like this a while back where someone drove home with a hobo in their windshield? they left him over right and he died. I think that might have been a younger person though.

one of the ironies of life. My Great Grandmother stopped driving at age 90.. at age 91, she was struck and knocked off of her bike by a man twenty years her junior. She broke her hip in the fall and went into a coma that she did not recover from... dying three months later.

If my Grandmother and great aunt had not convinced my Great Grandmother to stop driving, she might have lived a few years longer.

I do agree though that EVERYONE should be tested at least every ten years. This would get the AARP off of the politician's butts whenever the topic comes up.

I'm just afraid if we try to take away old peoples licenses the AARP is going to take all us young people hostage and take over the country.

Thats horrible yea I have thought that people need to be retested. I have no idea how some people at my school have their liciences, its not just old people. Maybe have an incar vedio camera for 5 hours or something like that? Dont point it at the speedo though lmao.gif
