Still think Eminem is pretty good despite his gimmicky stuff with D12. Snoop and Dre are still at the top skill wise. As far as Luda goes, his stuff is catchy, but he came to my school for a homecoming concert and he sucks live.

I love rap, except most of the new rappers - they all suck.

Here is my basic list

Xzibit - just bought one of his older CD's today
Old Snoop
Dre
Eminem
Trick
Old Busta

A few more

Rap beats got me into why I like trance and drum and bass. The beat has to be HOT or the song will suck. Especially since few rappers now have anything to say. Same ol' same ol' everyone CAN be good till the 3rd album and they don't have anymore "real" to rap about. I hate how you can be gangsta and come up in the streets to glorify living a RICH PIMP life in white people neighborhoods and be considered still a G and show up wearing a PINK shirt. WTF!

Biggie !! #1
2Pac
Bone Thugs
Snoop before DoggFather (when he ran outta material)
Dre & NWA( liek I said son, BEATS make the song regardless of lyrics which he brings too)
Outkast
Twista is nice
Pharcyde
Original Peas
Tribe
EPMD
Like 50, but stuck on himself and the rest of his crew BLOWS, sorry to see MASE in that as he has talent

Party playaz I humor cuz they get popular songs
FAt Joe/Pun/Pitbull
Lil Jon/Mike Jones - Hell most southern rappers gotta style I like, but can't listen to a whole album of screw

A few more but mostly old school 80's and alot of 90's message stuff. And those today that ARE good were probably around in the 90's. Rakim, Mc Lyte, Run DMC, Kurtis Blow, LL, Beastie's, Slic Rick, KRS One, Classic Cube, P.E., N. by N. (Must be showing my age) Let's not forget lyrical masters like NAS and most members of WU-TANG. Jay-Z for his diversity though not a huge fan.

I know it's along list but what do you expect with a guy who has over 600cd's on his wall and perhaps half as many TAPES!

I Boycott
Kanye,
Diddy - Victory and Godzilla Led Zepplin remix were the only good songs he can claim.
Ja Rule

Then Drum&Bass/Progressive gave me beats with out all the babbling fakes.

50 cent is the hottest out there right now for me, him and 2pac are the top of my list

I used to really love eminem, but 50 outshines him to me now; 50's lyrics are just amazing and if you listen closely theres always something under the surface.

I like luda, but you can only have him in small doses because of the way he raps, he ALWAYS has to end the bar with a rhyme, at any cost. if theres no word to rhyme with the previous line, he'll' make up a word
