Who the F Does this?!
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/10/08...back-seat-cab/
Who the F forgets to take his $220,000 cash with him?!?
Who the F reports finding $220,000?!?!?!
Vegas cabbie turns in quarter-million dollars left in car
A Las Vegas cab driver is being praised for turning over a quarter-million dollars found stuffed in a laptop case in the back seat of his taxi.
Adam Woldemarim was cleaning out the back seat of his vehicle last month when he noticed something between the seats, the Las Vegas Journal-Review reported. Woldemarum discovered a black soft laptop case with $221,510 inside, according to the newspaper.
The Ethiopian-born taxi driver, who knows only a little English, immediately called a friend who had driven the cab earlier that day and asked if the money belonged to him.
When he was told that it did not, Woldemarim notified authorities, who later determined that the cash belonged to a man who had won big at the Wynn and had accidentally left the money behind on his way to the airport.
Authorities later called Woldemarim back to their office to meet the man, who has not been identified. He reportedly thanked the cab driver and handed him a $2,000 tip.
Woldemarim's friend, however, said they were surprised that he was not given more for his good deed.

Yes, they rounded up from 220k to 250k and called it a 1/4 mil to exaggerate the story, but they weren't saying it was over 250k as your post suggests
(side-note: exaggerated is typed entirely with the left hand )

I wouldn't have taken it. For all you know, it could have a tracking device or be associated with some drug lords. Your life could be at stake.
On the other hand, if you check the suitcase and nobody reports it, tell boss you have a job opportunity and leave the state/country for a few months.

There could have been 300k in that suitcase, how the eff are you going to prove that the cabbie did or didn't take any cash out?
Almost all people will cheat just a little bit if they can get away with it.
