Well, I think this is my first thread that isn't BST related, and I just wanted to see how everyone else is managing. My dad, mom, and I have been battling this "noreaster" since 12 and were still taking on water. Our basement has about 3-4 inches of water, depending on where you stand and it just keeps comming. Believe it or not, the 3-4 inches is actually progress to what we started out with. We currently have 3 pumps running, 2 water vacs, and the 3 of us manning down the fort and it's just spanking us. (I know I'm repeating myself, I'm just so pissed aha) My neighbors all have the same problem so I figured I'd post and see how others are managing.

So, hows everybody else doing?

edit: Forgot to add, our township is shut down, highways/roads are closed, power flickers on/off once in awhile and we just got the internet back. Although we never lost cable which was a good thing because I got to see parts of the Yankee game veryhappy.gif

starting to get windy over here but it's been raining for 2 days and it's been cold in the low 50's during the day. wierd weather! good luck with your basement man, you should think about filling the outside of the walls with concrete or cement for next time but i heard it's a big job.

The river through my campus flooded half of our parking lots and the road and it hasn't been that warm, maybe 38-42 degrees..sucks. Well at least its rain and not snow or we would be getting like 24 inches...ridiculous. Anyway that sucks about your basement hopefully there isn't too much damage but it seems anytime there is a major rain storm some part of new jersey floods.

yup, they don't care about there students having to walk 15 minutes in the rain...kinda sucks because there are 2 ways to get to the academic side of campus and the river floods only one way.

Last night Meg soaked her shoes through and we had to go to her mother's before work to get her flip flops.. Today I had to piggy back her through the complex, thank god she's light lolol.
