by military definition, far right is the side of honor. on our uniforms our flags are on the right side so by default, if you want to be technical it should be far right. from the pic of your house it would look better there anyhow..

that's what I thought alli... but when you see the President speak it's to HIS right, so those looking at him will see it on the left... so would it be on the right or left looking from the street

Dead center. You will always see government buildings displaying the US flag dead center in front or dead center on top. The flag should be dead center. Also, if someone decides they want to take it, they have to come all the way up to your door to do so as well. I also like the look better. Just try to keep it so that it does not flap on people when they come in. Make sure it doesn't touch the ground. Don't forget to pay the flag it's proper honors and retire it at dusk.

retire at dusk? Part of the reason I wanted it centered was because I have LED lights in the mulch bed in front, and I could have lights on the flag at night. Isn't that okay, as long as it's lit up? i'd take it in when it's raining of course.
Growing up in California, we had a flag pole, and i'd help my dad take it down all the time. I can't have a flag pole in my front yard, all flags have to be attached to the house (home owner's association rules)
I think dead center looks better.
I was thinking about all schools, police departments, fire halls... they all have the flag dead center.

Heck yes!!! LED lighting on flags roxorz! A lighted flag need not be retired. Make sure to show the true colors at all time.
I think having the flag dead center of your house says something about not putting the flag off to the side.
If your house was on the corner of the block, i'd say put the flag in the place it would be most visible both roads, but if you're in the middle, dead center.

I'd go for either far right or center. Left side looked out of place, and center may get in the way for you, but far right looked pretty good.
Nice work on the LEDs!! What kind do you have for it to be bright enough?
