Ok I was curious to know what most people do here for a living, for example college student, high school student, military, etc...
If you don't want people to know, just don't post...also please don't post how much in make!
Ok for me I am Operations Specialist in the United States Navy and a part time college student...
its that simple...
Another reason why I ask is because I want to get out the military in 2010, and when some of you guys in the IT job related field list your job (if you do), i will probably ask questions, because that is what my degree is geared towards.

Because I was a fool and never finish college I now work Technical Phone Support for IBM/Lenovo computers. It's not glorious nor gratifying, but there's plenty of over-time to be had and flexible hours. I will be attending college again this fall at least part time and pursuing a degree in digital video production and/or 3D animation (dependent upon school and available curriculum).

We haven't had one of these threads in some time, and it's always changing, so why not.
BTW MWood, get in touch with me when you are getting ready to get out, I'll help you find a good job.
I'm an 80% disabled veteran of the US Army (11 years). I'm a full time college student about to start my last semester (13 credit hours) at the University of New Mexico, getting my Bachelors of Science in Geography (I'll be the first graduate in their new degree program, considered a Geographic Information Sciences degree, I be a scientist!) with a Minor in History. I've got a 3.5 GPA.
I got a full time job now too, I'm the Geographer and GIS Specialist for the Socorro Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, in Socorro NM. I'm responsible for the management and collection of data for 1.3 million acres of surface area and 1.9 million acres of subsurface area. I do a decent amount of custom cartography, and manage about 6 to 8 Terrabytes of data. I'm currently a GS-5, but upon graduation in May I'll be a GS-7. It's a professional series position, so I'll be a GS-9 in May 2010, and a GS-11 in May 2011. I'm working on buying back my Military time so I can retire in about 20 years with 30 years of federal service.

Got my degree in Computer Engineering last May from the University of Hartford.
Currently I'm working as a Software Engineer at Preferred Utilities. Its a small company that does a-lot for its size (http://www.preferred-mfg.com/). Currently I'm in the Preferred Instruments division doing R&D to design and improve boiler instrumentation and controls, for industrial and commercial size facilities.
