i always change my own and i've never used a filter wrench... just need a good grip. i always use those fram filters with the nice grippy area though. laugh.gif

im down for whatever....if i have the time
lately for larger stuff(like tranny's 3 and 4) i had my work do it
i cant go days without a car plus i get labor at $25 a hour at the mitchell manual rate
but i have done larger stuff
i put a 307 into my truck with a couple friends of my dads
ive done timing belts and water pumps
swapped heads
stuff like that
i figure if someone can put it on the car......i should be able to take it off and fix it plus havin a shop full of special tools behind me helps alot

I did most of the work on my Excel, but I haven't had the time to work on my Tib so I buy the parts and a buddy of mine who is a mechanic does the work for some Food and Brew...... lol.gif good deal... works for me.
