What shipping company to ship my rims/tires?

Anyone sold thier rims, and had to ship them somewhere? If so, what company did you use? and how much did it cost for the set of 4?
My rims and tires are for sale, I might put them on ebay, but I don't know who to ship them with.

You can try UPS..it would be best to package them in boxes if you could..I've know people who ordered wheels that were just taped up real good and they had some scratches on the spokes because of this.

when I got mine from discount Tire.. they were already mounted. They simply put a piece if bubble wrap over the front of the rim before covering it front and rear in cardboard and then taping it tight with strapping tape..

I'd go with FedEx. They're cheaper, and, unlike UPS, they don't just leave your package sitting on your porch if you're not home, just begging for someone to come steal it.

Another choice people forget about is Grayhound... cheaper still and you have to personally pick them up from the nearest station to your address... I shipped an entire hardtop to a convertable from Pennsylvania to LA for 40 bucks.

Fedex ground from here to MD for 2 boxes, 35 pounds for one, 37 pounds for the other (Packed the exact same, different weight box had tires with TREAD on them. Made me laugh my ass off.), cost 76 dollars and got there in 3 days.
