LoL i get that all the time too. "so what kind of honda did u buy?" then u tell em its a Hyundai Tiburon and they just stare blankly at u and ask again "so what kind of honda is it?" haha

I always get people saying my car is something weird. I have been told its a honda, chineese and japaneese junk from my family members (big into the steel mill around here and always saying buying forign is killing the country wtfe). Got is it a cougar before, uhm what else, yeah integra a few times. The worst was it being called a geo storm how the faux do you see a geo storm in the RD2 tibs?!

i removed tiburon enblems so butt poeple seem to know it's a tib alright

when I first got the car in 2000-2001, I got a LOT of people calling it a Celica. After 2003 or so, people kinda knew what it was.

I bought mine in 2000, beginning of my senior year of high school, the only Tiburon in the school (~2,200 students). By the end of the year, there were 4 other Tiburons at the school.

 

Not really mistaken identity but funny none the less. A guy was getting into his STI with his g/f next to me at Target the other day and asked me how such a young guy could afford such an expensive sports car
