most people just have no idea...but one of the dumbest girls in my school, when she first saw my car she said, "Hey nice car, I really like tiburons"

I've got most of my friends trained to recognize tibs

 

I've gotten the "Is it a V6" from some of the muscle car guys and people with trucks. I just smile to myself and explain why it's not the V6.

I've never admitted it to anyone around here, but mine has also been mistaken for a kitted celica mad.gif.

I've only met two people that knew right off what it is. First was a girl, she came over right as I got out and asked me how much I'd sell my tib for. I was shocked that she knew what it was and called it a tib lol. Second was recently, while at a local meet a friend introduced me to a guy that was new to the area. We were walking around looking at the cars when the new guy popped off "omfg there's a tiburon. Do ya'll know the owner?" I told him I was the owner and he said "wow, don't see them much."

 

When I had my tib, my supervisor at Resort's casino hotel thought I drove a Subaru...

 

I've got you all beat... I've got the "batmobile" according to the people in my town... I just tell them I don't have the jet engine in the middle tongue.gif

The icecream shop man around the corner used to have a RD, but since I got mine, his disappeard....
Now my baby is kitted he looks at me while driving by and you see the look on his face, I know this car, but I don't think he knows yet...

 

If a guy looks at my car, they always guess "honda of some sort"
if a girl looks "i love tibs, they're so hot" etc
if a little kid looks, I get "the batmobile" ALL the time. Even my ex said it looked like it. Then we're sitting in a parkinglot one day, and alittle boy walks by "hey daddy that looks like the batmobile!!" ..a small tear trickled down my cheek

 

i was driving my tib for the first time today, took a trip to a shop in missisauga to pick up my aftermarket clutch and when i pulled in some guy was like of shit man is that the new peugeaut, and i was like haha this thing is 8 years old and its a hyundai, and he was like no way haha.

and my girlfreinds dad seen it in her driveway and was like theres no way im letting my daughter get in a supra, and my girlfreind turns to me and says"i thaught you owned a tib" haha it was an amazing day for mistaken identities.

but on the lighter note, friday the tib is back in my hands with a fixed/better clutch, i near cried when i forked over the cash, getting 800 bucks when you work parttime and minimum wage is hard lol.

 

I can see supra and integra. They kinda look the same. I still don't understand my car getting mistaken for a viper.
