I nearly hit a possum just last night... Lucky I had crappy tyres so I have been driving much slower than I usually do cool.gif

I've hit about 1,000,000 or more flies, mosquitoes & various other flying insects but I don't think I've ever hit an animal. I'd feel really bad about it if I did... They're just trying to make a living fing02.gif

However, I have hit a human being...

The dude ran across the road in between some stationary cars wanting to turn at an intersection whilst I was continuing straight in another lane next to them: I'd pretty much managed to stop & barely tapped him in the leg but he did a massive commando roll up onto my bonnet & into the windscreen, then rolled off the car & back onto the road. I nearly shat myself as did a work colleague in my front passenger seat.

The guy jumped up, apologised profusely & said he was running late for his train, then ran off toward the train station. He was fine but there is still a small "knee" dent & a couple of scratches on my hood from the ordeal. Bugger sad.gif

I don't know what I would do if I hit and killed a person... I would most likely give up driving though.

Yah my uncle hit a biker and he died, the guy was going down I-81 at night with no bright clothing or reflective things on his bike. Anyone who doesnt know I-81 is a highway restricted to cars and my uncle never saw him.

He was really depressed for a while, his car was pretty banged up too.

Lots of already dead ones. I hit a live racoon with my Elantra. My female passengers thought I was a bad guy for accidentally doing it.

My shark has killed 2 birds, and one squirrel. Maybe a few frogs jumping across the street too at night.

Ah well, I don't try to kill animals, but sometimes they just get in the way, and I'll be damned if I am gonna lose control of my car to save the poor animal.

Hob there are many pigeons in the UK i presume. in Poland there's sooo many they destroy some of the old buildings. it's impossible to run them over there though. in Poland you can run over wolves, rabbits, wild boars... most of Poland is a country (never been developed after com. times) so you're out driving on some thin asphalt one lane road out in the country pitch black. frogs are also common, so i bet there's no difference in Ukraine. poor little guys!

God yes, there are a LOT of the horrid things...
That place sounds a lot like it does here, this a farming/very rural area. Lots of pidgeons, rabbits (oh my god are there rabbits) and Roe Deer.
