Trunk struts are not required with a hidden spring system. The hidden spring system is cleaner looking and more upscale IMO. Trunk struts screams cheapness to me, because it doesn't take any thought whatsoever.

Have you tried them? They're lots better, and a lot sturdier. It's not just the struts, but the bracket design. They ones on the Hyundais take up more space overall, and particularly in the case of the Coupe, they crunch your items.
