If you can afford the Ferrari in the first place, you can probably also afford to buy spare-parts & get it serviced.
Newer cars are probably also more reliable & have better build quality... A 1990 car is already 15 years old & the fact that it is not regularly driven can sometimes contribute to parts failing prematurely.

remember this when it comes ti Italian cars.. most of them think of a car as a place to put an engine. The engineering of the engine and it's related accessories is always paramount. Little things like lights, brakes, and even the interior is just secondary.
As for the Mondial.. it is not a modern Ferrari. The 360 and beyond have really become cars you can drive everyday.
