Hope you get it, let us know.
Man I think the big company's with huge overhead are having move trouble right now than the little ones. Who would have thought chrysler and gm would be in bankruptcy just a couple years ago. Last year/this year are better than ever for me and It's just me and john part time. I bet that little tire chains business is up right now hence the hiring. People are going to local places more because they know dealerships are more expensive. I've had more pc's in for repair than any other time in the last 5 years I've been in business. Instead of buying new people are repairing and reusing more.
All the dealership mechanics I know say business is dead. All the small shops are swamped with business.

My man, I'd say give it your all to stay where you are. Stability with a BIG company is more important than anything else right now, considering everything.

thanks everyone for the kind words smile.gif
and to go off of what Supercow said, i think its actually opposite w/ my line of work. Although full line Sears isn't doin that great, the Auto Centers are seeing some record growths. In fact, its one of the only branches of Sears Holdings (all companies associated w/ Sears/Kmart) making a profit. The auto centers and the product repair services are are basically the only ones making decent profit dollars... and it has to do with labor. Theres a huge profit margin on labor compared to parts wink1.gif
With less and less people going out and buying new cars, they have to rely on what they have. More people are willing to put $1000 or more into their vehicle simply because its better than a car payment.
So, knock on wood, we should be fine. haha

.... Well, more than 4 months later I am officially an Assistant Manager of a Sears Auto. I just got the job in Nashua NH. I got a better salary offer than I initially had thought.
I start my new job on Monday smile.gif
