Hey brother,

Good to see you safe, once I heard that we had an RD member somewhere in the area, I hit up all the evacuee registers in the NO, Slidell, BR, and Laf areas, but didn't find any sign of you. Spent many days going thru the roads of of NO while we did rescues, didn't see any sign of flooded Tibs so started prayin that you made it out well.

Thanks for the comforting post brother.

Wow...thanks for the posts guys. I really didn't even consider that forum folks would be worried, but then I realized in the same situation I would feel the same way about any of you guys.

Now that I actually have a desk and computer at work I can post more regularly. Unfortunately there's no high-speed connectivity at our apartment up here so I'm pretty much limited to the net at work.

I'll tell ya what, it's an AMAZING feeling to be working for the Coast Guard right now. These guys did incredible things down on the Gulf Coast, and to be a part of that effort is pretty kick ass.

And no...I didn't bring the Tib up here. I actually borrowed my step sister's Ford Exploder and I'm hating every minute of it. crying.gif

It's good to hear from you man.

Knowing that your okay now, hopefully your tibby weathered the storm. LOL

Sounds like you've got some pretty crazy stories. I could only imagine what that would have been like. Last night we had a pretty nasty storm with some hail and heavy rain. I thought that was bad!

Anyway, glad to have you back man.

Thanks again guys. Hope to post some crazy pics when I get back home.

I can't take this Ford Exploder any more. I plan on swinging back home next weekend and bringing the Tib back up here. smile.gif

On a bad note, my dad went by my house and said the electricity is back on, but my AC and all major electrical components (TVs, home theater, etc) are FRIED. Not sure what the hell happened. He said he had to replace 90% of the light bulbs and nothing works. Must have been some kind of bad electrical surge. Guess I'm filing a claim after all. Still consider myself lucky though.
