I got my a$$ whopped by a old VW tonight!! We were both sitting at the the light and he reved up a little so we want at it. we both take off and at about 20mph this spoiler started to come out of the rear end I couldn't believe it so I nailed the gas and at about 60mph he took off on me I hit about 90 and he was stilling pulling away from me he had to be about 15 car lengthes in front of me and still going! I think had NOS or something because he just up and blow my a** away at 60 I was so pissed

 

If it was the Corrado wich is the one with the spoiler like you described it does not need NOS to wax our asses. Those things are fvcking fast as hell.

 

I hope you learned your lesson. Corrado's are either VR6 powered or Supercharged 1.8L.

Even in stock form, a corrado should have no problems with a tibby. If the corrado's been abused and has a weeezing supercharger, you might stand a chance.

 

We (corrado owners) are not that fast. The 1.8L Supercharged corrado's (G60), come with only 158hp and 166 on torque. The Tiby's are only down 20hp and torque. The VR6's are a different bread, 178hp and 174 torque. You need to have some sort of forced induction like random's to start smoking Corrado VR6's. If you let me know what color or where the corrado was, I might be able to tell you what he had under the hood. I have one of the slower modified Corrado's around..... there is a guy named Vic who has a black VR6 corrado that has 265 hp on the wheels, and that is fast. Few stupid Corrado owners use the bottle, the only one I know has been at Velocity Sport Tuning for about 5 years. I never say it run.

We need to find out which is faster, Random. When are we going to race?

 

By the way, if you come up against a Corrado G60 (You can hear the SC), if it is stock you should win. When I bought my G60 my GTI (Max 130hp) would walk away from my Corrado, and Random and Ricardo left my GTI behind in the Canyons. With a few mods though, makes any Corrado a beast.

 

Well it was maroon colored and I could here his engine over mine so it probably had couple of mods, maybe I'm not sure but what I am sure of is he left me sitting in the dust at 60, i felt like I was just sitting there stopped when he took off and the worst part was my GF was in the car with me and she actually started laughing at me when he took off sad.gif

 

Now that is messed up. Was there any blow off valve that you heard? I actually have never seen a maroon Corrado.

 

Actually I don't know what a blow valve would sound like, never really heard that term before. Though the corrado does make for a good sleeper car if you don't know anything about VW's, it sure caught me.

 

That means it's probably a VR6, and that wasn't a fair race. 2 cylinders and around 40 more horse power, isn't even funny.

 

But that's just because Ricardo and I are such good drivers!
