What percentage do you think they (the top 1%) pay? As in total out of pocket, throughout the entire 12 month span, both federal and state, on average.
It's not a low as most people think. Deductions are nice, but not nearly that nice.
I could only wish to pay the same percent today that I paid 2 years ago and my household income isn't even that impressive.
