And I agree with you. I just am not going to vote for one of the jerks. You can write in candidates.

Seeing the world is a huge reason people enlist

Well that's great. But we do not have the money. They need to make huge cuts.

Ok so we close all overseas bases then what?

Where are all the troops going to go that miraculously doesn't charge us tax dollars?

Are we going to be like no thanks were full please go somewhere else to the people who make little wages protecting your ass so you can blog and complain that they are costing you money?

By taxing the sh*t out of anyone being paid more than $15M/yr. There is NO job on this planet where an individual legitimately EARNS $15M/yr. Is that fair? Hell no, but as my parents used to tell me as a child... "Life isn't fair. Get used to it."

Tax then all you want. Where are you getting the rest of the money. If we all paid 100% tax we could not pay for what the country owes now.

What does fairness even have to do with salary? This has zero political bearing at that!

If you want to talk about "fair" saying "he makes more than I want him to, lets make laws to legally abscond with xx% of his income, while I pay a fraction of that percentage" THAT is not "fair." The reason these people are able to make obscene amounts of money is because they or the company they manage produce goods and/or services which a vast majority of people use daily. Don't like Apple? throw away your iPhone. Don't like Bank of America? Don't keep your money there. Don't like drug companies? Don't go to the ER and get that life saving MRI. It's all choices. Simple supply and demand, nothing magical. Want to garnish wealthy people's wages in a "fair" manor? A fixed consumption tax. We all pay the same percentage whether buying groceries at the store or multibillion dollar gold plated yachts. This is just common sense scenario and (despite being so) shouldn't even be a political argument.

Seriously, if a thief broke into your home to take the big screen TV and PS3 he doesn't think you deserve, you'd be the first one in line to hang him. It's all an issue of scope and economics. NOT politics.

^^^ If rich folks PAID (not their "tax rate", what they actually pay) the same percentage as I, I'd have no problems with that.

I, in all seriousness, don't understand that. We all work and at the end of the month (week, pair of weeks, etc) bring home a check. The dollar amount shouldn't matter to anyone but the person working for it.
