Thought some of you guys would like to know. The French branch of Sony was being interviewed and they slipped the price out on "accident".

the PlayStation 3 will cost between €499 and €599. That's somewhere between $613 to $736 in American dollars

So, will that be a 12 or 24 month loan?

I say that I will pass on that, but then again I own all the game systems and am looking to score a 360 in the immediate future.

I'll stick with my PS2. As long as I have GT4(my only game, lol) I am set.

I'm down on 3 of them, 2 for resale getting mine for free at that point. The price most likely will come down and Sony will take a loss on the system per piece like Microsoft has done, hoping they make it back on the games. Of course they will Microsoft has no Game base, but Sony?! Please Don't make me list the titles. Sony has loyalist companies Microsoft can't touch. Plus a couple hundred more than the 360 ?! is all for a system that specs and ability PWN! what the 360 is capable of, and if Sony puts out that they can emulate/online share into the Xbox online realm (totally experimental, probably won't happen on this system) you don't need a MS system in your house anymore.
