Default shop locally

How many of you shop locally for your car parts? I try to support the little guy and small local shops but its not that easy when you can find a similiar item online for alot cheaper. I wonder as more and more large volume distributors pop up everywhere if eventually the small shops will shut down due to not being able to compete. Thats the economy were in i suppose.

I find cheapest price then I buy. I don't have enough money to support people that overcharge me.

As do I.

I give local shops a chance to meet/beat online/other store pricing, but if they don't/won't, I go to the other store.

I buy the vast majority of my repair/maintenance parts locally but almost all mods over the internet. I have found that it's often cheaper to get things locally even if they have to order it. Of course, I'm lucky to have some really great parts stores here with competitive prices so that helps. Some other places aren't that lucky.

Onlinne for me, cheaper, more convienient, and most shipping gets me parts quick.

I can pay the dealer $109 for a TPS, or I can go on Ebay and pick it up for $50.

After working with a few of these aftermarket companies, I know what kind of mark ups they are putting on stuff, and from there you can figure out what markups the locals are doing. I know they have overhead, but good lord, I'm not paying $250 for an IAC anywhere. Occasionally I find a local place has something cheaper, Redline MT90, stuff like that, and it is better to get it locally than pay for shipping and environmental fees.
