Shipping Vehicle From Korea
#1
Come May I'll be able to ship a vehicle on the government's expense back to the states from Korea. I'd like to use the shipping to get my car back to the states since it's US spec (300whp tib). However, I'm planning on staying in Korea for a few more years and I'd hate to have it sitting in some garage for that long. I was also thinking about possibly buying a skyline from Japan to send back, but then I'd have major issues of getting it street legal - may be impossible. Open to ideas.

For making it street legal some fourms on skylines should know. To pass emissions add another cat and for noise maybe add a glasspack, IDK bout the BOV but you could muffle that somehow. Then after it passes move to FL or somewhere where they dont check fing02.gif Having a skyline is def unique even ore so than a tib forsure. Also all ricers will worship you too dont forget that lmao.gif

Thanks for all the input. It would be something to have a skyline over in the states. I wonder how hard it would be to find someone to buy it since I won't be back to drive it.

You could easily make some money off a Skyline. Buy it over there, where they aren't as much in demand, free ship it over here, and sell it where there is more demand. You'll at least make the money off the government by shipping it over here, but you'd probably make hoards more.
They in uber high demand over here, even though it costs an arm, a leg, and three toes to get them to pass inspection and get them over here. LOL if you think a glasspack and another cat gets them legal over here, your in for a rude awakening if you ever get one over here.

gettting it past emissions is the easy part...
You need to get it past the crash test worthyness part. Thanks to Motorex, a lot of the crashtest worthiness tests have been done.. but you will still need to upgrade the bumpers, door beams, possibly the glass. Change the lighting to US code, guages will need to be changed to MPH, the list goes on and on and on and on...
