In case you all didn't here the news about the four scout leaders that were killed at the jamboree, here's a link.

One of the men that died, Scott Powell (57), was the camp ranger for 30 years at Camp Gorsuch located in Anchorage Alaska. I lived in Anchorage for 4 years and every year I attended summer camp at Camp Gorsuch. So I personally knew him, in fact I communicated with him through email last summer. Sad.... sad.gif

This makes me realize how much of an impact you can have on someone by volunteering to work with kids in programs such as Scouting or Boys Club of America, etc...

OMG,!!! that's horriblile, i have been a scout all my life, and i think that if you have good leaders in scouts you will have good men later in life "like me fing02.gif " but it teaches you thing you need to know imo

That's true, I am a scout leader now, have been for the past three years.
